Dynamite Studios Academy Performing Arts School is a DSA innovation. The first of its kind in Australia, we opened the doors to our high school in 2012. Our Performing Arts School provides a unique opportunity to students who want to work towards a performing arts career and gain relevant qualifications whilst completing their educational studies. In 2022, Dynamite saw another first with the introduction of primary Years 5 and 6.

Our school offers a unique educational experience. Students work in small focus groups with qualified school teacher supervisors who ensure they are understanding and retaining knowledge learnt in their distance education lessons, building their confidence with independent work and study. Our pioneering approach to education is based on providing the conditions and support the students need to be self-directed and motivated to engage in their learning opportunities.

We believe that students need to acquire a broad set of skills in order to achieve success in further education, and in life. It is critical that students develop the skills necessary for life and work. To prepare students we offer a rigorous curriculum that includes the teaching of valuable skills such as communication, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity. We strive to enrich and extend each student to ignite a love of learning that will become a life-long pursuit.

Our classroom environment is similar to that of a standard school environment, with supervisors available to provide extra assistance and encouragement to students when needed. At Dynamite Studios Academy, we offer three specific sub-groups within the school to cater to the needs of each student on their learning journey:

• Junior School: Year 5 to Year 6

• Middle School: Year 7 to Year 9

• Senior School: Year 10 to Year 12
